A Biblical Strategy for Missions - 2 Tim. 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same  commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”  2 Tim. 2:2 In Paul’s final epistle, he gives Timothy a viable strategy for fulfilling the Great  Commission. Committing to faithful men what was entrusted to the missionary  multiplies the efforts to further the gospel. It increases exponentially the efforts to  reach the world for Christ.  Today’s aging and declining missionary workforce fails to meet the demands of the  growing world population. The church’s struggle to simply maintain the status quo,  much less advance into needy territory, cries for a different strategy. Sending  missionaries is still necessary. Training nationals is both essential and strategic.  Training nationals:  1. Is more cost effective.  2. Requires less time to equip. 3. Ensures continuation of ministry. 4. Penetrates restricted access nations.
